Zesty Pop Up Friendsgiving 2016

What’s Up Wednesday:

Hi Friends!! Today we are super excited to share “what’s up” with the latest zesty world and unless you have been living under a rock, you should have heard about our Zesty Friendsgiving!! It was a huge success!! Not only was it a warm night filled with good food, drinks, music, photos and friends- but we raised almost four thousand buckaroos for such a great organization- Family Care Network.  We were able to raise these high  funds with such an intimate event because of our amazing community donating. EVERYTHING that’s right, everything was donated so that we were able to give 100% of ticket sales to FCNI. A big THANK YOU to all our amazing vendors involved, we can’t thank you enough- from the bottom of your heart. This night would not have happened without YOU.

We started the night off with cocktail hour appetizers and music by Shawn Clark Family band on the lower deck under gorgeous twinkle lights.







Time for dinner!!



Each place setting had a name with a word of inspiration and a true story from Family Care Network for guests to read and SEE the impact they are making at first hand.



And in case you can’t read that, here is what we feasted on….


Butternut squash soup with a roasted beet truffle vinaigrette swirl
{pairing: Points West from Lone Madrone}


Kale, Raddichio & See Canyon Pink Lady Apples Salad Pancetta and Spiced Pecans {pairing: Oveja from Lone Madrone}


Quail Stuffed with Chantrelles, Apples and Sausage on a bed of Arugula dressed with a light apple cider vinaigrette and served with hasselback sweet potatoes basted with a sage & maple butter
{pairing: Viognier from Justin Winery}


Bison New York Striploin Steak Wrapped in Pancetta, cooked over oak, and served in a sloe gin and blackberry glaze on a bed of mashed potatoes {pairing: Zinfandel from Bianchi Winery}


Hazelnut & Carmel Apple Napoleon
with coconut, toffee, almond & white chocolate






Paper Cake Events make these amazing Napoleons filled with franjelico cream, caramel apples and toasted hazelnuts. Topped with coconut lace, white chocolate, macarons, freeze dried apples, fennel, toffee, caramel popcorn and the most beautiful edible flowers from @looloofarms. WOW were these as tasty as they were to look at!!


Yes, the food was fabulous, the music and ambiance was stellar- but do you know what really made us smile at the end of the night? OK let’s be real, it made us ball like babies- people made friends! Guys I am not just talking acquaintances, phone numbers were swapped, selfies were taken and lives were changed. #missioncompleted
