Woodland Themed Baby Shower

I feel SO blessed to have the friends and family that I do, especially as Billy and I enter this new chapter in our life that is full of many “unexpected” adventures. Having the support of our friends and family means SO much to us, and we definitely have been feeling the love extra in this last month of pregnancy as my mom and friends hosted not just 1 shower but 2! That is right Billy and I made the trek to San Diego for an adorable camping woodland themed shower to celebrate little baby Ryker and then not but a week later we celebrated again in SLO. What can I say, we certainly are celebrating and SO excited!! At our SLO shower we had the extra special blessing of our dear friend Kate of 11th Street Studio taking professional pics! Hence why I couldn’t resist to share some of her gorgeous shots capturing the day, I hope that this woodland creature theme baby shower inspires you in all your party planning!!

Guests were greeted with the friendliest woodland critters all set for a party!! From a tipi and bear rug to a nearby vegetable patch for party favors- everything was so cute!! I kept saying pinterest exploded! 🙂

Lunch did not fall short either, my dear friends made an epic spread of all my favorites! From creamy lemon and kale salad to chinese chicken salad, fruit salad WITH COCONUT, and caprese and BLT sammy’s all tied up with string- we feasted!!

We also had newborn diapers handy for guest to write notes of encouragement, jokes, wisdom and such on the bum to give me and Billy a giggle or smile as we do those 1am diaper changes. I am looking forward to reading all of these over the next few weeks!

Oh and my favoriteeeee part, dessert. Wow just seeing these pics as I write I am literally salivating and creating a preggo craving!! LOL Chanda created this masterpiece which was a chocolate log cake decorated with shaved chocolate as “bark” and macaron “mushrooms.” This is one of those desserts you feel bad eating because you don’t want to destroy the beauty. But I ate, I conquered, I enjoyed. I also enjoyed these adorable s’more cupcakes that look like a pro made them, my dear friend Brooke rocked it!!

Instead of the usual predictable shower games, in true zest fashion- we crafted! We had many craft stations set up throughout the home that allowed ladies to connect and chat as they blessed little Ryker with hand painted onesies and diapers. They also crafted up some adorable wooden blocks and alphabet letters for the future playroom- so fun!!

And then there were the baby clothes…oh the clothes!! Little guy is SO blessed and stocked with the cutest outfits, soft handmade blankets, swaddles, teething toys, the stroller- we are READY!

Shout out to all these beautiful ladies who make my world a better place! xox

Now time to count down to meet baby boy!!
