I love that the temperatures are dropping outside a skosh. The BBQ season and eating alfresco is a wonderful California way of life, but as with anything that goes on for a duration…change is welcome! I am so excited about using my oven again, and warming the house with rich smells. It is a huge component to the coziness of fall.
With our oven heating up, there will be limitless roasts and casseroles. All the earthy and hardy ingredients will start taking centerstage on the table. It is time for comfort food, but for Thrifty Thursday I figured why not share some ways that other bloggers and chefs are warming bellies on a dime. If you haven’t committed to at least one meatless meal a week, you may be surprised how great it can be for the pocketbook and the waistline!!
