Strawberry Basil Sorbet

It’s Valentines week so that means everything perfect in pink! I have just the dessert for you to make for your sweeties or next girl’s night- not only is it yummy and easy  but I love that you can prep it in advance so when it comes to “hostess” time you can focus on your good company. ALSO, stay tuned for a part two of this recipe where we turn this yummy sorbet into a champagne float!!


1 lb Strawberries with tops cut off

1/4 cup Basil

3/4 cup Sugar

1 tsp Lemon Juice

Zest  of one orange or lemon

Ice cream maker and blender


First blend all your ingredients in the blender…


Next pour into your ice cream maker…


Let the machine do the work! Within 10 to 15 mins I had a great consistency, then I stored in the freezer. YUM!!
