Modern Farmhouse Winery Wedding @ Biddle Ranch Vineyard | Janice & Maxwell

This classic and modern wedding, held at Biddle Ranch Vineyard, featured a soothing color palette of pastel blue, peach, and white. Since we were planning a winter wedding, we wanted to prepare for the likelihood of rain during the reception. By bringing in a clear tent decked out with bistro lights and florals, we created a cozy and warm atmosphere for guests to dance the night away!

Janice and Maxwell's love story began in college. After nine years together, during their annual trip to New York City, Max proposed to Janice on the top of the Rockefeller Center with a skyline view. When Janice and Maxwell envisioned their perfect day, their top priority was family. They were thrilled to host a gathering where all their loved ones could come together to celebrate.

FIRST LOOK

One of the most emotional and intimate parts of any wedding day, a first look offers a chance for the bride and groom to spend a few moments together before all that celebrating with family and friends. Janice & Maxwell met in the privacy of the Biddle Ranch gardens to see each other for the first time that day and to snap a few portraits together before the ceremony began. Not to mention it helped ease any anxious nerves to see each other.

CEREMONY

When friends and family arrived, they were greeted with a welcome table that invited them to snap a polaroid for the newlywed's guest book. The wedding ceremony took place on the covered patio, where rows of elegant black chairs created a bold statement that framed the floral swag arrangements over the center hearth. After an emotional walk down the aisle and the exchange of heartfelt vows, the couple invited all their guests to take a group picture together by the altar.

COCKTAIL HOUR

Cocktail hour featured an elegant bar display from Bottles and Ice, along with an arrangement of tray-passed appetizers from Haute Skillet. We arranged cocktail tables and lounges throughout the venue to encourage guests to mingle and share conversation. To elevate the experience, we also brought in little touches, like tiny floral arrangements in bud vases, to place throughout the shared spaces.

RECEPTION

Because this was a February wedding, we had to consider the high chance of rain while planning—which is why we prioritized a clear-top tent for the reception. Not only did this shelter guests from the weather, it also created a cozy and intimate environment for the celebration.

Dinner was served family-style to encourage guests to feel at home. Votive candles, heaters, and bistro lights created a warm and welcoming ambiance, while the blue table runners added a tasteful splash of color—setting the scene for a beautiful evening to celebrate the newlyweds!
