MMmmmmonday: Luna Red
Chanda and I were out and about the other day doing back to back meetings downtown with clients, which meant we worked up an appetite!! Although we were starving we knew we wanted to enjoy the gorgeous weather all the while still getting some work done and enjoying some yummy food. So where did we end up?? We enjoyed the Luna Red patio while we chatted and brainstormed servers new apparel and some zesty new ideas for this upcoming year. Check out the MMMmmMMMM food we ordered up!! We love Luna Red because of the fresh unique menu and stellar atmosphere.
Located just between the creek and the Mission, this is a great spot to soak up some sun and people watch….
The inside isn’t too shabby either…
Now let’s talk about some food since afterall it is MMMmmmmonday!!
Some beautiful pacific oysters with lemon, bloody mary cocktail sauce and a chili-lime mignonette- so fresh!
This was my favorite, I could have had a hug bowl of this heirloom tomato salad with burrata cheese and pistachio vinaigrette and been a very happy gal!
Of course then we did our usual splits with a gorgeous lamb po’boy with fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and shaved onion! MMmmm
And lastly their twist on tuna tacos with crispy rice shells, jalapeños, kimchi, spicy cabbage slaw and wasabi!
Did I mention they have a fabulous drink menu as well? I personally love their sangrias, but today we ventured out and tried their lunch cocktails…
Chanda ordered up the “between the sheets” which is an adaptation of the classic sidecar- paul masson brandy, pyrat xo rum, triple sec, and a splash of lemon
I ordered up the “Sicilian Sour” made with vodka, limoncello, fresh lemon and egg whites-yum!!
We hope that you can swing by Luna Red next time your downtown and enjoy their fabulous tapas and cocktails!
