Mason Jar Lamp Shade Chandelier
Sam here! I had the honor of attending our dear friends, James and Sheridan’s wedding last weekend in Avila at See Canyon Fruit Ranch. It was such a beautiful day, complete with some country flare (after all the bride and groom’s first meeting was line dancing). We were also honored to have my husband as James best man, I couldn’t help but get involved too with some zestin’ love. Check out this fun chandelier I made for their wedding…
First off you need mason jars with lids (we did bright blue because teal was in the wedding colors) and then some twine, fabric, burlap and a lamp wire frame.
Next I started tearing the strips of fabric and tying them around the frame, but the white was a little too bright up against the shabby chic aged barn. So we did this great technique- vanilla!! Buy cheap imitation vanilla (you can get a big jug at smart n final) and spray the vanilla on fabric (this would work on lace, doilies, you name it). Then let sit in sun and dry. Not sure what I love more about this technique, how great and easy it is or how great the fabric smells after, vanilllaaaa…mmmmmmm.
Next I added strips of burlap in between each fabric strip to add more texture.
Time to tie the mason jars up, I tied the twine to the lids and then just screwed the outer lid on. Be sure to cut different lengths to add for more visual appeal.
Flip on your battery operated lights and drop inside jar…
And now for some fun pics from the wedding!
Guns and Roses- legit.
Also loved the bouquets, might be hard to tell in the picture since the girls are out of order but the flowers in the bouquet go from most white with bride down the row from maid of honor onward. Ombre bouquets!
Managed to snag this cute best man for a pic too! Congratulations to James and Sheridan!!!
