Hot Ham n’ Cheese
What to do when you are leaving the kids with a babysitter to go out for an incredible evening of music and gourmet food (and not feel guilty)? Make them something scrumptious, hot and quick! I have found that having some pizza dough in the fridge is always a good go-to in a pinch. And who doesn’t like the combo of ham n’ cheese? Especially when hot, and melting…..mmmmm divine!
Hot Ham n’ Cheese Calzone
- 1 bag of prepared pizza dough (or make a single crust recipe)
- sliced ham (thick cut or deli sliced)
- cheddar cheese, several slices
- 1 cup of arugula
- 1 tbl Dijon mustard
Roll out your dough into a rectangle on a cookie sheet. Spread the Dijon over your dough. Layer ham, cheese, and arugula down the center. Fold the sides towards the center and pinch the dough until completely sealed. Bake in a 425* oven until browned, approximately 15 minutes. Slice and serve.
