Easy Mother’s Day Craft
What mama doesn’t love flowers?? Whether they are store-bought or hand-picked they scream color and smiles all throughout the house. So dad’s grab some paper bags and markers and get to creating with your little one to really make your special lady smile. This is a vase she will not forget. I put this DIY idea to the test and invited my good friend, Brooke, and her little one, Taylor, over to craft. We actually zested Brookes wedding a few years back! So fun! I am her littles ones adopted auntie and I couldn’t love her more. Wait until you see pictures and you will melt as well!!!!
- Paper bag
- Mason jars (2)
First start by having your little one color the outside of the paper bag… OK now excuse me while I show off 1 million cute pictures of how adorable my little niece is!!!
But really… Those dimples… That shoulder shrug… Those eyelashes… Wowsers I’m melting.
OK pull it together Sam, start by rolling the sides of the paper bag down until you form a nice little rolled edge. My paper bag didn’t roll as nicely as I wanted so I took a piece of cardboard and use that to make a good crease and roll over it- creating the perfect little overlap.
Next fill your two mason jars with water and place in your bag, arrange your flowers accordingly and voila! Your own personalized vase that is way better than any store-bought base.
