Thrifty Thursday
You cannot get more thrifty than DIY stationary. I fell in love with this project!
When graduating from Cal Poly, our sweet Brooke wanted to say thank you to friends and family for all their well-wishing. Having a college student’s pocket-book can lead to some very ingenious and one-of-a-kind creations. These would be perfect for any occasion: weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, you name it!
Brooke had admired some salt and watercolor projects that Sam had hanging in her house.
Feeling inspired, she gathered up her supplies:
watercolors
watercolor paper
watercolor brushes
salt
scissors
painters tape
gold sharpie
The most important step is to have fun with color. You can use painter’s tape to create fun geometrics, too. Simply paint your paper and then sprinkle with the salt for some gorgeous texture.
Finally write your sentiments with a gold sharpie for a little bling.
Too precious!
I hope this inspires you to feel bold enough to play!
