It’s one of my favorite times of the year- apple season!!! Fun fact, in case you didn’t know, during college I used to work at an apple stand and then my love for apples carried on when I get married at an apple orchard! One might say apples are pretty great in my books 🙂 Yes another reason why fall is my favorite season- apples! I love the countless sweet or savory creations you can make with apples. Today I am busting out some apple butter with some apples that are getting just a little too soft to eat anymore. Usually I would make apple sauce but I thought I would switch it up this year…
Apples (enough to fill crock pot)
2 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Nutmeg
1 tsp Ground Cloves
1 tsp salt
First chop up all your apples and fill your crock pot. Next dump all your ingredients in the bowl, place on low heat for up to 6hrs or high for 4 hrs. Once the apples are dark, place them and all the juices in blender or food processor.
Jar it up and refrigerate! Time to think up some yummy ways to eat the apple butter, I think I will start with toast for my breakfast tomorrow 🙂

Easy crockpot apple butter for the perfect Fall day.
- apples enough to fill crockpot
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp salt
Chop your apples and fill your crockpot
Dump the rest of your ingredients in to crockpot. Place on low heat for up to 6 hours or on high for up to 4 hours.
Once apples are dark, place them and all the juices in blender or food processor. Store in refrigerator after enjoying 🙂
