Coconut Oil Lavender Hair mask
With having a mom who is a hairdresser I have grown up with some amazing hairstyle tips and products, but now that we live 6hrs apart my trips to the hair salon are a little fewer and far between. I can still proudly say my momma does my hair and is constantly making me look oh so good- hahah but I always love learning about new natural beauty care. This past year I have been dealing with having a dry scalp near my crown- no fun!! I have tried shampoo and all sorts of regiment and I think amongst shampoo, tea tree oil and this mask I have been able to combat the flakes! Ew- I know! Plus this coconut oil and lavender mask has soo many great benefits!
Benefits of mask:
- great for giving moisture to dry or damaged hair
- adds shine to your locks
- smells great
- softer hair
- helps with dry itchy scalp
- 5 drops lavender essential oil
- 3-4 tablespoons coconut oil (depending on your hair length, also make sure oil is liquid- may need to heat)
In a small bowl mix the coconut oil and lavender essential oil.
Apply the coconut oil-lavender mixture to dry hair and massage into scalp. The longer it sits the better so I like to sleep in mine overnight (be sure to have an old pillow case or wrap a scarf around head). Or you can also just let sit for at least 15 mins.
Wash out with warm water and a gentle shampoo.
Hello greasyyyy hair!!
But I am LOVING the aftermath…
Shirt say’s it all!
