I am not a big breakfast person but I know it’s super important to eat before you conquer your day- so with that I am always looking for simple but yummy quick breakfast ideas. Grapefruit has always been one of my faves, but let’s face it sometimes starting your day off with that tartness can be a little much, especially with your morning cup of jo’ Then again it also seems SO unhealthy to pour a spoonful of sugar onto your grapefruit to make it bearable- prob not the best start to the day either! haha! So when my Momma came to visit and mentioned putting a bit of cinnamon on her grapefruit I was totally game!!
Although it might seem like an odd combo at first, the cinnamon really cuts that tartness of the citrus and cinnamon is SO jam packed with things like amino acids, vitamins and minerals that it’s the perfect start to your day.
Simply slice your grapefruit around each citrus segment, sprinkle about a teaspoon or so of cinnamon and it’s time to start scoopin’
