4th of July Inspiration
I don’t know about you but the 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays- I love summer, BBQ’s, friends and family and fireworks. Plus I love dressing up and how fun is it to sport your red white and blue?! A few years ago Billy and I went to Boston for the fourth and man oh man was it epicccccc. This year will be pretty swell again as we celebrate 6 years of marriage out at Lake Las vegas with family. As we begin to pack and make plans for all the festivities I thought I would get inspired over on the blog for some Friday Finds….
LOVING this adorable 4th of July romper from Zaful
It isn’t the 4th of July without some good old classic BBQ! Jocelyn of Grandbaby-Cakes created this gorgeous masterpiece- marinated skirt steak with chimichurri. YUM! Just pair this sucker with some corn on the cob, a watermelon feta salad and some garlic bread and I am one happy girl!!! Let freedom reign!!
Let’s not forget about dessert…grilled peaches and vanilla ice cream creations from What’s Gaby Cooking? Yep I’m feeling inspired.
Yes the cake from Mint Event Design is dalring- but I am really drooling over those adorable red, white, and blue flags! Yes please!! These would be so easy to make from some scrap fabric and sheets or curtains from the thrift store.Hint Hint** You can even us hot glue or fabric glue so you can avoid the sewing machine.
I am pretty darn excited about this video on how to turn a watermelon into a keg- say what?! Just watch this genius step by step by Kitchme and you will see the miracle before your eyes!!
Oh and to garnish that yummy beverage from your watermelon keg let’s not forget about our very own DIY on how to make a festive cocktail stir stick!! Swizzel away!!
Who is feeling ready for the 4th? I am!!
