Hi Zesties! Today we have our dear Kristi back to show off some shrub creations that are sure to get you in the summer mood. What doesn’t scream summer louder than watermelon????
The Adventure in Shrubery continues…time to share our recipe for the watermelon mint shrub & a fresh fluffy cocktail known as The Watermelodic.
1 1/2 cup of Watermelon juice
3/4 cup sugar
15-20 mint leaves
3/4 cup apple cider vinegar (Dietsch recommends white wine vinegar)
Slice about a quarter of a watermelon into cubes to juice.
Place Mint and vinegar in a mason jar and muddle. For a stronger mint flavor leave the vinegar in the mint for up to two days, sealed in a cool dark place.
Next pour the watermelon juice into the mint and vinegar jar. Cap & shake well, now wait a week!

1.5 oz Gin
2 oz watermelon shrub
Mint for garnish
