Trendy Tuesday: Merica’ Shorts

Well it’s trendy Tuesday ANDDD the week of the 4th of July so we gotta make sure you are all looking your best in your red, white, and blue! If you are alive in America and have eyeballs these days you have most likely seen the ever so trendy flag painted jean shorts- well today we tackle them zest style. After taking a trip to Goodwill and snagging these high waisted jeans for $2.00 I was ready to get my Merica’ pride going!!

Supplies:

  • Jeans (cut into shorts) or Jean Shorts
  • Scissors
  • Red, White, & Blue Acrylic paint

Grab yourself some hillbilly jeans! I did a little jig in mine-tee hee

Start your stripes (let’s do vertical- a little more flattering than horizontal, wink wink)

Now onto blue…

I had Chanda jump in here to bust out the stars- you can use a stencil too if your not feeling too confident in your star painting skills-not to worry!

Now as vibrant as my flag was looking, it was a little too flashy for me, time to sand the shorts a bit and rough it up for that perfect vintage relaxed flair.
