Thrift Thursday: Twice Treasured in San Diego

Last week, Sam and I had such an amazing time busting out meals for 900 and laughing with her fam.  We tried new restaurants, hooted and hollered over DVR SNL skits, and of course….thrifted!  We really wanted to share with you about a unique thrift store that Sam’s home church has developed.  The story is kind of cool, in that it was one woman’s vision and passion that brought this bustling store to fruition.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERATwice Treasured is a unique thrift store with the intention of really including it’s patrons in it’s mission.  Not many thrift stores can boast 100% volunteerism along with 100% of it’s profits going towards humanitarian endeavors.  Their doors have been open for approximately 2 years and they have already touched several communities by helping orphanages, building homes, running summer camps for kids, and even building a new school in Haiti.  Pretty amazing what a community can accomplish together when they decide it’s important and that working together can make waves!

Now…halo aside…it was time to get shoppin’!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERASam and I love ourselves a good sale!!  Especially when we know it’s a treasure hunt 🙂OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWe were drooling over all the fantastic accessories that lined their shelves….from vintage finds to unique creations supporting small village economies.  Oh, the accessories!!!!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAll kidding aside….Sam and I found some pretties that we took back home to the Central Coast.
