The Porch Cafe in Santa Margarita is a classic stop for us when we are on the run and want a little nutrition to tide us over! It is pretty much a no-frills, no-fuss kind of place, but the people are warm and the food is great! I mean, how could it not be that type of experience with a name like The Porch Cafe? It is such a lovely addition to the amazing small-town-feel of downtown Santa Margarita. You cannot simply walk into this place….you have got to mosey on in! It BEGS for a mosey!!
This place is drenched with so much Americana that they even have a “Calling All Poets” sign out front! Love!!
And the Americana vibe continues as townsfolk gather here casually for lunch (but more importantly for some of the best breakfast burritos around!)
I am a sucker for their Buffalo Chicken Wrap which is spicy and fabulous!! Crispy chicken tossed in spicy buffalo sauce with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and drizzled with ranch.
Anya was loving her Italian sammy piled with salami, ham, provolone, tomato, lettuce, onion, mayo & Italian dressing. Lots of flavor and ridiculously good bread.
Sam ordered the Southwest Chicken Wrap which was filled with chicken, tomato, corn, black beans, cheese, tortilla strips & chipotle ranch. Yum!
We hope you find yourself moseying on into The Porch Cafe sometime soon 😉
Ok, now I’m hungry for lunch!
