As we were driving home from an awesome walk thru the other day (we can’t wait to show you pics from this venue!) out stomachs were grumbling. That means there is only a small amount of time before our food headaches kick in! So needless to say we pounced when we saw this restaurant off the free way as we headed up the coast. We were excited to try Shell Beach Brewhouse because we had friends that raved about their burgers! We thought what better time than to stop in for a quick working lunch. WOW- we were impressed. Such great flavor, color, and great ambiance. We decided we would definitely have to take the hubbies to this one eventually. They have 30 beers on draft too- score!
You check out the full menu of yummies here but we will show you a few of our selections that our bellies were quite pleased with!
We started off with house baked Bavarian soft pretzel sticks that we dipped in pilsner spiked warm cheese and bumpy stout mustard- not a bad way to start a meal huh?
I guess we must have felt a little naughty (starting our new year off with pretzels and all-lol!) so we then devoured a gorgeous and fresh “Aloha ahi poke” platter.
But apparently not toooooooo guilty about our calories because we couldn’t resist their delicious Lamb Burger- ground domestic lamb, herb feta cheese, drunken onions and a kalamata olive aioli topped with baby arugula. Boom!
And lastly we all shared the colorful shaved corned beef sandwich. This sammy was packed with crispy potato latke, red dragon ale cheese, pickled red cabbage, 999 island dressing and held together with classic 805 sourdough bread.
Did we mention the side of brussels sprouts that were flash fried? Amazing!!
