Hahahaha, today I was totally freaking out when my CHP uncle told me that the San Luis Obispo bars were opening there doors at like 9Am (or was it earlier). Yuck!
Now, don’t get me wrong. I totally love me a good drink, but the 37 year-old in me said, “That’s CRAY-CRAY!” But, now that all the kiddos are tucked in, I am havin’ some fun brewing up some St. Paddy’s day worthy concoctions. Being a fan of a not too sweet Midori Sour, I decided that the night before St. Paddy’s should have a take on that common drink….but add in some of my other fav components (aka jalapenos, cuz I love myself a spicy drink, and some fresh lime slices).
Check it out!
The culprits: vodka + Midori + Sweet n’ Sour mix + ginger ale + JALAPENOS!! + limes
First step, place 3 limes slices, 3 jalapeno slices, and 2 ounces of vodka into a glass….muddle away (aka smash and mush the limes and jalapenos until the vodka gets a tad cloudy)
Now, simply add 2 ounces of the Midori, 2 ounces of Sweet n’ Sour mix, some ice, and then finish off with a splash of ginger ale.
Hellooooo Leprechaun green!!! And, if you are after a more fancy-pants rendition…..use a martini glass!
