Lunch at Lido Restaurant for a Fond Farewell

Today, I am fondly looking back to a sweet luncheon that Sam and I had with Kristi before she left for San Diego.  It was a gorgeous day and the finest food, but a bitter sweet moment as we said goodbye to such a bright light.  After two years of Zesting with her, we were sad that her last day was finally upon us!  In order to keep our smiles, we headed straight for Lido for some crystal blue skies and cocktails.

While we sipped on fresh cocktails, Sam and I presented our sweet missy with a Zest scrap book commemorating the two year journey of living life with us crazy girls.  SO many great moments!  We loved making her laugh!!

And making her teary!  We love you girl!!

Enough of the sap, it was time to dig in to some beautiful grub together.  There is really nothing like great food with great friends!

The Wedge

Grilled Romaine Lettuce, Jalapeño-Bacon, Blue Cheese Crumbles, Jalapeño Dressing

Wild Arugula

Spring Asparagus, Crispy Artichokes, Shaved Manchego, Balsamic Vinaigrette

Prawn Tacos

Grilled Prawns, Jicama Slaw, Salsa, Cilantro, Guacamole

The Cubano Wrap

Sliced Ham, Housemade Pickles, Dijon Mustard, Provolone Cheese

And to keep our little chocolate addict happy, we had to finish up with every gluten free girl’s dream:

Flourless Chocolate Torte, Chocolate Sorbet, Chantilly Crème

The perfect bitter sweet decadence to crown our little luncheon.

We miss you terribly, lovely Kristi!
