House Warming Gift Idea

Hello everyone! Hope you all enjoyed your week! Mine was a bit out of the ordinary, because my best friend moved out of our hometown to Los Angeles! I am so excited for her and her roommate! Today is the day I get to trek up to L.A. and finally get to witness this wonderful new little place my best friend gets to call home for the next year! This obviously called for a house warming, or should I say apartment warming gift!

I wanted to bring a little “life” to her new life 😉 so I thought some cool succulents and cacti would be a great way to do that! Her and her roommate both work a lot so I thought something low maintenance was necessary! I guess me and Kristi were on the same wave length this week :), great minds think alike!

I bought this metallic silver ceramic pot from Anthropologie (only $14!) and these mini succulents and the little red cactus from Lowes for only $3 each!

Their apartment is very simple with a lot of white and creams, therefore I thought this metallic silver pot would give a great pop, but wouldn’t be too distracting!

When planting succulents and cacti, make sure you have the right potting soil!

So happy with the turn out! I love that red too! But, I’m not quite finished yet! I wanted to make it look a little more like a gift and still stick with the home-made feel!

I grabbed this awesome yarn that I used for the dreamcatchers, and a little cream card stock square for the card! I made a dainty, messy boarder and scribbled some congratulations on the card 🙂

And, DONE! My little gift is ready!

xx Brittany
