We all know how much Chanda and I love our smoothies. Not only can they be refreshing and filling but if you “zest” things up with a little splash of green tea the benefits are heightened! The antioxidants in green tea make it much more beneficial than regular teas. Green tea contains around 22% of tea polyphenols. The polyphenols and flavonoids boost the immune system, making us healthy and strong. The epigallocatechin present in green tea is 200 times more powerful than Vitamin E. 1 Tablespoon chia seeds
1 cup frozen strawberries
Start by adding your strawberries and banana to the blender….
Next your green tea…
And lastly your chia seeds…
Blend until all is blended well…
Top with some chia seed sprinkles for an extra crunch!
