Easy DIY Eye Make up Remover Pads

Thrifty Thursday:

Coconut oil- some might say it’s just a big fad but I am a firm believer in this fad. Not only is it decently inexpensive and smell amazing but SO versatile. Love that I can bake with it, use it as lotion, moisturize my hair, spread it on some toast and even brush my teeth! Yep, if I was on a deserted island I would definitely have coconut oil on my packing list. With that said, today we are going to play around with coconut oil as a make up remover. This will save you some $$ since make up remover lotion or pads can get pricy after using them everyday! It’s also super fast to make so it’s still realistic if you have a busy schedule, make a few jars and you are set for the month!

Supplies:

1 tablespoon coconut oil

baby hair and body wash (tear free)

Cotton pads

Mason jar/lid (x2, this recipe is enough for two jars)

1/2 cup water

Start by combining your coconut oil, water, and a squirt of body wash in one bowl…

Time to heat up those ingredients…

Once melted, combine your ingredients with a good stir…

Once combined stack your pads into a mason jar, press down to really pack them in and begin pouring the liquid (remember this is enough for two so don’t overfill). As you fill press the pads down firmly to fit even more….

Now time to put them to the test, mascara on and ready!
