DIY Painted Chalkboard Globe

Some of us might collect cute little spoons, others collect pottery or maybe you have a serious shoe addiction? What is something I collect? GLOBES. I just love that each one is so different. From an old world map to your more dainty vintage metal stand, they all have so much character and not to mention they look stellar on my top shelf library/office. With that said I thought it might be fun to make one of my globes a bit more personal. That’s right, we are going to zest a globe!! MUAhahah bring it on….

Supplies:

Start with painting your globe- first spray your base and arm {oops I forgot and had to repaint some black, learn from ME!}

 I did black paint to make it look like chalkboard paint…it may take a few coats!

Let dry full, I gave mine a whole day. Then I asked Panda to do some scribing for me….loved this quote…

“Love makes the world go round”

First she used a metallic sharpie but then traced with metallic acrylic paint and a skinny brush…

Then I grabbed the metallic sharpie and added a little extra zest flair to the words…
