I adore anything citrus. Lemons, limes, grapefruit, oranges- bring it on!! I just love the blossoms on the trees, the taste and versatility of the fruit and let’s be real- some zest!! Gotta love the zest citrus has to offer. So with that, let me start by saying I adore today’s post. It has citrus, chocolate and a good crunch. All great ingredients to perfection. This summer dessert is a great hostess recipe to have up your sleeve. It doesn’t require much time in prep but also is something you can have guests get in on the fun- fondue style!
Tangerines (about 1/2 per person)
Dark Chocolate (& candy thermometer)
Start by chopping up your pistachios either in a machine or by hand. Then peel tangerines.
Place 2/3 of your chocolate in a microwave safe glass bowl. Microwave them at 30 second intervals until they are all melted. Stirring with a spatula in between.Taking your bowl of melted chocolate to the counter, add a handful of the remaining unmelted chocolate and stir. Keep adding the unmelted chocolate and stirring until you have brought your melted chocolate down to 82*F. This is very important if you want your chocolate to be beautiful and glossy.
