Chocolate, Chia Seed, Banana Smoothie

I am a smoothie freak! Not only is it the fastest breakfast for this lady on the go- but I love that you can sneak your greens into it and really throw whatever you have on hand inside. From chia seeds to flax seeds and fruit- you really can’t go wrong. But what about when you want a little dessert or milkshake inspired beverage? This yummy combo will meet those chocolate cravings and still manage to slip in some greens and is packed with so many benefits! Chia seeds are from a Mexican plant in the mint family that tend to stick together and to fill you up- leaving those midnight cravings sufficed! Plus chia seeds are rich in fiber, calcium, potassium and iron.  YUM!

Time to blend it all together…

Finish off with a few sprinkles of chia seeds for topping!

Servings: 4
Ingredients
  • 3 tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 2 cups Almond milk
  • 1 cup Spinach
  • 3 tbsp Chia seeds
  • 1 Banana frozen (or add ice)
Instructions
  1. Add all the ingredients into a blender and blend! Add chia seeds for a topping.
