Find & Fix it Friday: Special Valentines Birch Vase

As you can see chanda and I love anything that has to do with recycling- just look at how we started our business with our side of the road treasure. As many of you know this week we are busy prepping for the lovely Morro Bay Rotary Ball that’s tomorrow!! (literally as I type Chanda is bagging A TON of delicious homemade chocolate mousse- just check out her instagram:)) So we had a ton of extra bottles!

So with that we saw this awesome pin and couldn’t help but think this would make for a cute valentines vase to match the birch candle pillars Chanda made last week!

So here is out stab!

Supplies:

  • Birch Bark  (online or at Michaels)
  • Bottles
  • Twine
  • Flowers:)

We had many leftover bottles from making our own balsamic reduction for the Rotary Ball’s salads, so we soaked off the labels…

Next soak your birch to make it pliable!

Now you can have a friend hold the birch while you tie (hahah or you can try Chanda’s technique)

And there you have it! Make a few, add a cute tag that say’s “I love you” or “xoxo” and you got your sweets a homemade keepsake that will certainly last longer than the flowers:)
